A special message from Executive Director, Carl Worrell – TU Winter Campaign

You Can Help Josh Start Something Special

As the Executive Director of Team Unbreakable, a program dedicated to helping youth realize the benefits of physical health for mental health, I’m proud of our volunteers and staff who work to expand access to the program. Every week, I witness the results as Team Unbreakable programs help our youth to manage stress, anxiety and depression. But I’m especially proud when the program is shared.

Running helped Josh Tillson cope with trauma and navigate an extremely challenging time in his young life. Josh decided to use his personal struggles as an opportunity to empower other youth in his hometown of Sudbury, Ontario. He learned about the Team Unbreakable program, partnered with an experienced volunteer coordinator, and raised awareness and money in his community. His efforts raised more than $19,000.00 in race proceeds, donations from RBC Financial Group and inspired a Courageous Hope running campaign. Josh also inspired close to 100 volunteers from the school board and RBC to support this fundraising effort.

Across the province, there are students, teachers and community leaders who, just like Josh recognize a need in their community. Funding is a major obstacle in the development of new Team Unbreakable programs in cities across the province, like Sudbury. You can help us this #Giving Tuesday by making a donation to our 2017 fundraising efforts.  Many youth are struggling with anxiety, depression and thoughts of suicide in silence, they desperately need access to this program. This holiday season, can you assist us in improving youth mental health in our schools and in the community?  Please donate and support Team Unbreakable programs.

Donate today at TU Winter Campaign.  We thank you for helping us to change a student’s life.

Sincerely,

Carl Worrell

Executive Director
